Sawtell SLSC has space available to hire in the clubhouse
It is a wonderful venue in an ideal position for the following with a large auditorium and/or a purpose-built training room available for hire
- Classes (such as tai-chi and general fitness)
- Courses (such as first aid)
- Meetings and Workshops
- Other Functions (such as weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and Christmas parties but see below)
Ample parking is available nearby and the privately run cafe The Kiosk operates from club premises. Sawtell Village and First Avenue (with its cafes, shops and restaurants) is a 2-minute walk away with Sawtell RSL opposite.
Please be aware that those using the auditorium need to self-cater as no kitchen facilities are available. The Club however has ample tables and chairs for the permitted number of guests, a refrigerator and bar fridge and an urn
There is a restriction on the number of persons attending a function with 80 being an absolute maximum
Fees for hiring of facilities are subject to negotiation with the hirer and will depend on the type of activity and the period of time required. The auditorium is unlikely to be available during the Club patrolling season for functions such as weddings which require additional set-up time due to the facility being frequently used for training.
Day Time Charges
The hiring fee is $30 per hour but with a maximum $60 for a 1/2 day and $100 for a full day.
The evening hiring fee will depend on the type of function being held and whether additional hours are required to set up so is subject to negotiation with the Club. As a guide the hirer would be looking at a $150 charge plus a refundable bond of $200. Please note that no U18 or U21 parties will be allowed.
