Patrol Handbook
All active members should read this Handbook as it is updated each Season and ensures you are aware of new information and how our Patrols are functioning.
Patrol Substitutions
Members are encouraged to utilize the Patrol Substitution feature in the Members Hub to arrange substitutes. This system benefits all members:
- Members can post requests for substitutes to all club members available for patrol.
- Members can track who has confirmed their substitutions.
- Substitutions are automatically updated in the Patrol Logs.
- Patrol Captains receive a list of the patrol team, including any substitutions.
Alternate contact members via our Facebook closed patrol swap group.
IMPORTANT: If you cannot make your assigned patrol, please contact your Patrol Captain to ensure coverage and prevent any shortfalls in patrol duties.
Skills Maintenance
All members who patrol and/or compete must complete Skills Maintenance (previously known as Proficiency) by December 31 each year to keep their awards current. Members who do not meet this requirement will be ineligible to patrol or compete.
Each member is responsible for ensuring they complete all aspects of the annual Skills Maintenance, which includes:
- Paying your membership fees for the current season.
- Completing the Online Theory Skills Maintenance sessions through e-Learning (accessible via the Members Hub).
- Attending the in-person Skills Maintenance session.
