Lifesaving and Education
Sawtell Beach is patrolled by both the Sawtell Surf Lifesaving Club and Coffs Harbour City Council’s Professional Lifeguards.
Sawtell Surf Life Saving Club patrol weekends and public holidays from the commencement of the September school holidays through to Anzac Day between the hours of 9am to 4pm. These hours are extended over the Christmas holiday period to 5pm.
Council lifeguards patrol Sawtell Beach Monday-Friday during the surfing season from 9am to 4pm. These hours are extended whilst Daylight Saving is in operation to 9am to 5pm
The closest patrolled beach during the winter months is Park Beach which is serviced by Council Lifeguards 7 days a week from 9am to 4pm.
