Coffs Coast Dragon Boat Club supporting Sawtell SLSC

The Coffs Coast Dragon Boat Club has very generously donated $600 to Sawtell SLSC following their recent regatta where Sawtell SLSC provided IRB support.   Thank you Dragon-boaters and what a fabulous logo!

Heres a blurb from the Coffs Coast Dragon Boat Club.

The invigorating sport of dragon boat paddling originated in China thousands of years ago and, despite its ancient beginnings today dragon boat paddling is a very modern sport and the world’s fastest growing watersport enjoyed by men and women of all ages.    Dragon boating is not just for women or the super fit. The Club has men’s and women’s teams plus a breast cancer survivors’ team and there is no specific fitness level or age restriction except that paddlers must be over
12 years.
The Coffs Coast Dragon Boat Club has five training sessions per week at Bonville Waters, Sawtell on Monday and Wednesday evenings and every Saturday morning on the Bellinger River at Mylestom. New members are always welcome. If you would like to join in the fun and give dragon boating a try – ring 0418 953 882 www.coffscoastdbc.com.au.      Team spirit, exhilarating and intense exercise, mate ship plus the thrill of being on the water are just some of the benefits of dragon boating.
